Locations: Beautiful log chapel, garden gazebo, outdoor pavillion, The Cedars Lodge, in front of our waterfall or larger facilities are available upon request. All are nestled in Alpine Mountain Village resort, your Smoky Mountains wedding and honeymoon destination less than 400 yards off the Pigeon Forge Parkway.
2. What type of ceremonies do you perform? Our wedding ceremonies are performed by ordained ministers with faith-based vows. 3. Are your ministers Church Ordained? Yes, our ministers are church ordained and care a great deal about the couples that get married at our chapel.
4. May we bring our own minister? You may bring an additional minister to participate in the ceremony. Our minister will still be a part of your special day due to time restrictions.
5. May we write our own ceremony vows? You may write your own vows, but if you have something special for the minister to read we do ask that it is submitted to him at least 1 week prior to your wedding. This way he can become familiar with the literature and not stumble through the writings you have selected.
6. How many guests can we have? Our chapel will hold approximately 35 guests. We also have other venues from intimate to elaborate, including an outdoor pavillion that can be converted to hold up to 75 as well as larger church venues that can be contracted on an as-needed basis.
7. May we have attendants? Yes, you may have attendants including a ring-bearer or flower girl. This is also determined by your package selection.
8. How much time is allowed for each ceremony? Typically, your allotted time is 1 hour. This again is determined by your package choice, while additional time may be arranged if needed.
9. Is there a dressing room for the bride and groom inside the chapel? We do have dressing rooms inside the chapel. They are reserved strictly for the bride and groom. All attendants must come dressed and ready to go.
10. Do the bride and groom arrive early? The entire wedding party including all guests need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your actual wedding time. ie: If you are getting married at 3:00 PM, your chapel time starts at 2:30 PM and will end at 3:30 PM. Everyone needs to be in the chapel at 2:30 PM. Please don’t attempt to enter the chapel any earlier. We may be completing a previous wedding or preparing for yours.
11. Do we provide Hair and Makeup Services? We have a hair and makeup artist that will come to our cabins on the day of your wedding. If you are not staying with us at our resort, then we will make suggestions of nearby salons.
12. Are guests allowed to take pictures or video the ceremony? Your guests may take pictures outside only. We do not allow any cameras inside the chapel. We work very hard to ensure high standards on your wedding photographs. Guests wondering around and flashing cameras can inhibit the quality. You may have 1 person videoing the service in a designated location assigned by our chapel staff.
13. Is there a dress code? No, you can be very casual or formal.
14. Where do I get my marriage license? Is there a waiting Period? Your marriage license can be obtained from the Sevier County Courthouse or the Pigeon Forge Auxiliary Office. Please note the Sevier County Courthouse is open only on M-F from 8 AM-4 PM EST. The Pigeon Forge Auxiliary office is open only on Saturday from 9 AM-5 PM EST. There is no waiting period or blood test required in the state of TN. It takes about 10-15 minutes to receive a marriage license. 15. Can I bring my own music or do you provide it for the ceremony? We provide all the music for the ceremony but if there is a certain song you would like played, you must provide the song on CD and let us know beforehand.
16. How do I get my photos? We present all the information you need so you can view your photos online after we post them. If you are able to stop by our office while you are in town after your wedding, then you can make an appointment to view and order them.
17. Do you conduct Sunday Weddings? Yes. Weddings may be scheduled on Sundays and any other day or time. Please inquire. |
